Ok, this will take some practice. This blog format doesnt like the droid 1st 3 days I have ridden 140 miles (days 1 & 2, 70 day 3). Thank god for hot showers @ the campgrounds. Flights and travel down were super easy. Bike went together like clockwork. So I needed a reality check (I guess). 2 flat tires on day one... kevlar anti-puncture strips = bad idea!
What are they keeping out....T-Rex or really big longhorns??

Ben,
ReplyDeleteSometimes it is what they are keeping in... some of these ranches have exotic game... proghorn, elk, etc. But they usually have beefier fences than these. Probably these are to try and exclude deer, which are pretty dense here. Traveling towards Del Rio today I've seen white-tails easily jump 6 foot fences and attempt the 8 footers unsuccessfully. The landscape here is very arid, and browse is prescious. It could take thousands of acres to support a large herd of cattle. Can't have the deer freeloading.
